Hmmmmmm . . .

I, as one of tens of thousands of GoPro "Featured Video of The Week" viewers, am going to be blamed for it? Not sure how that works. :eh: ( ? ? ? )

I suppose my insignificant post here could be the basis for a "Kill the Messenger" type of backlash. :shh: :shifty:

I haven't viewed all the links, but blame belongs with the people doing the violating ... not the people reporting it.

That's not saying that the people doing the violating won't try to divert attention from their misdeeds by blaming others. But I certainly won't be buying it.

Bob,

So you know, all the links are similar copies of the SAME act. The [edit] middle! link has the most detail and ends with titles showing the names of the participants. Now that was REAL smart!

And Rick,

If a "Kill the Messenger" philosophy is part of the deal, then "Guilt by Association" will probably also be put in force. That means I will be blamed, you will be blamed and, of COURSE Bob will be blamed! . . :? . . . . :wtf:

:srofl:

Does the FAA Tandem Exemption belong to U$hPa? That exemption should be extended to other HG Assns. as well.

If gaining liability insurance is #1 on the list.........
#2 might be securing these FAA exemptions

Actually, it might be easier to get our own FAA exemption than getting insurance. Insurance is based on numbers and profit. The FAA exemption is based on responsible use of a privilege. We could apply for an FAA tandem exemption at any time. It just takes filling out some some fairly straightforward paperwork.

Maybe this is a good time to start setting up a committee of tandem pilots to look into this.

We'll have to look into this. The sticky point would probably involve the "administration" of the exemption. The FAA would surely want to know the awarded organization can "enforce" the rules.
