Yes, Joe, as I've been discovering since joining this forum. Pretty depressing. That seems to be another thing that's changed since the early days of hang gliding...a lot more contention, anger, and confrontation. Maybe that's just human nature, but it didn't used to be like that (or maybe that's just my rose-colored memory glasses). But as for the whole Torrey thing, as an outsider observer, all I can say is that once money gets involved, things can go pear-shaped pretty quickly. Safety and profit don't usually play well together, particularly in aviation. Then throw in a good dose of human nature and look-out!
