Thanks for contributing to the HG timeline (both in person and by reference)!!

Remember that any dates that you want entered into the master timeline have to start with year month and day numbers on so the program can automatically pull them out, sort them, and format a post for the front page. And you can use font size to specify relative importance (optional).

I just remembered a few dates (important to me) that I forgot to add. I can do that right here in this post:

2007 04 11 Founding of the Torrey Hawks Hang Gliding Club by Bob Kuczewski, John Heiney, Dave Beardslee, and Theda Silver-Pell.
2007 09 11 Application filed for the Torrey Hawks to become USHPA Chapter #270. The Hawks had 5 original members.
2008 05 ?? The Torrey Hawks sign up their 100th member.
2008 12 16 Mark Forbes announces that Bob Kuczewski defeated David Jebb for Regional Director in Region 3 by 122 votes to 98 votes.

I've sized them all with either "80" or "70" since they're not (yet?) very important events in the history of hang gliding.
When I run my program, it will pull those dates out of this post and integrate them into the master time line on the first page.

Update: I just ran my program and updated the front page, so all of these events should be there in the proper order and size.

For anyone new to this topic, we're collecting dates of events in hang gliding. Just post each event as a single line starting with the date in yyyy-mm-dd format. Then use the font size feature to give it an importance with 100 being in the middle, smaller being less important, and larger being more important. The "importance" is really just a suggestion by the poster, so don't worry about it too much.

I have a program (Extract_Events.java) that can read this entire topic and collects all lines that start with the yyyy-mm-dd format. It then sorts them and produces an output that I use to update the time line in the first post of this topic. So please contribute any events that you like. Some may be personal, and others may be monumental. They're all great to have and to document!!
