With the Fentanyl coming across our southern boarders, and the Benzodiapines coming from within, we must all pay attention and protect our children and grandchildren with our lives. recreation is key, we must RE-CREATE OURSELVES

Dr. Peterson (in previous post, "the epidemic within"), should be posted every where, and the more you know about this man, the more you'll share him with others. He is a Doctor but so much more.

Rick Masters posted this 4 years ago next week (February 23, 2018). It's another excellent inspirational work by Jordan Peterson.

In this video Jordan Peterson lists his 42 rules for life. These were eventually boiled down to the 12 rules for life in his book by that title.

Rick Masters wrote:

Tell the truth.
Do not do things that you hate.
Act so that you can tell the truth about how you act.
Pursue what is meaningful, not what is expedient.
If you have to choose, be the one who does things, instead of the one who is seen to do things.
Pay attention.
Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you need to know. Listen to them hard enough so that they will share it with you.
Plan and work diligently to maintain the romance in your relationships.
Be careful who you share good news with.
Be careful who you share bad news with.
Make at least one thing better every single place you go.
Imagine who you could be, and then aim single-mindedly at that.
Do not allow yourself to become arrogant or resentful.
Try to make one room in your house as beautiful as possible.
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.
Work as hard as you possibly can on at least one thing and see what happens.
If old memories still make you cry, write them down carefully and completely.
Maintain your connections with people.
Do not carelessly denigrate social institutions or artistic achievement.
Treat yourself as if you were someone that you are responsible for helping.
Ask someone to do you a small favour, so that he or she can ask you to do one in the future.
Make friends with people who want the best for you.
Do not try to rescue someone who does not want to be rescued, and be very careful about rescuing someone who does.
Nothing well done is insignificant.
Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world.
Dress like the person you want to be.
Be precise in your speech.
Stand up straight with your shoulders back.
Don't avoid something frightening if it stands in your way -- and don't do unnecessarily dangerous things.
Do not let your children do anything that makes you dislike them.
Do not transform your wife into a maid.
Do not hide unwanted things in the fog.
Notice that opportunity lurks where responsibility has been abdicated.
Read something written by someone great.
Pet a cat when you encounter one on the street.
Do not bother children when they are skateboarding.
Don't let bullies get away with it.
Write a letter to the government if you see something that needs fixing -- and propose a solution.
Remember that what you do not yet know is more important than what you already know.
Be grateful in spite of your suffering.

Through an odd coincidence today, I just discovered that ThinkSpot was founded by Jordan Peterson. Here's the summary on Wikipedia:

Thinkspot is an online social networking service started by Jordan Peterson following the banning of several content producers from the membership platform Patreon. Peterson and Dave Rubin conceived of the site together as a platform centered on free speech. Currently in public beta release, it has received mostly negative reviews from media critics.

Wikipedia seems a little biased there, and there has been some "back and forth" regarding its reception:

Wikipedia 27 June 2020‎ at 11:29 wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Thinkspot&oldid=964755653

Reception

The site's beta version has received positive critical reception. Tyler Curtis of the Foundation for Economic Education has suggested that the site "could apply competitive pressure to other platforms, incentivizing them to relax their censorship policies," noting that "platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have shown increasing willingness to silence and ban users who express opinions deemed offensive."

But then someone changed "positive critical reception" to "largely negative reception":

Wikipedia on June 27 2020 at 13:12‎ wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Thinkspot&oldid=964766809

Reception

The site's beta version received largely negative critical reception. John Semley of The Guardian wrote that the website "feels very much like a pay-to-play Jordan Peterson fan site". Brian Feldman of Intelligencer criticized Peterson for the website's mechanic of hiding comments which receive downvotes, calling it "ironic given the professor's stance as a free-speech absolutist".

I guess that's the problem with Wiki sites ... unless you dig into the history, you may only get one perspective. The nice thing about forum sites (like the U.S. Hawks) is that all opinions are all out there on an equal footing ... provided that the site is fairly moderated.
