It's 102.9 in the shade at my house down in the Rio Grande Valley. A little less up at the airport on West Mesa. I'm standing on the table and hugging the air vent to the air conditioner. I wet down the grass and now the birds are down laying on the grass with their wings spread out to cool off.
No flying for me until things cool off.

Yep, I feel the same way, event though I want to go get some ground handling down, it's to hot, and too much UV for the glider to be out there in this type of weather.

This is todays map, and the weather for NM says 93. whatever, but your there BILL and know what the weather is Iike in your area if the birds are dying out there that is not good. My dogs don't want to go outside they want to be in air conditioning they ain't one bit stupid they like the cool air and not out there. That tells me that I shouldn't go hang gliding, if the dogs don't want to be outside in this type of weather. ha ha ha. I must be stupid to even consider hang glidng in this heat, but I do want to go. :srofl:

Though, I may take some strimers and go put them out in the field and see what the wind is doing and sit in the shade and watch them, and watch themals go by I don't think there is a lot of wind maybe if lucky 3 to 5 mph thats not good

went outside nothing but hot air blowing 3 to 5 all blue up there, ain't nothing but hot thermals passing one after the othere out side that may take a glider up to the Alto zone where it is nice and cool

See the size of it by the turns it makes

as you see the plastic turning in the Thermal that is the size and width of it...

Same as a vulture turning a thermal would be the size and width of it, so as a pilot should you make the same turns as the vulture? :?

At some points, it reminded me of an exotic dancer:

OK, maybe I've got a creative imagination on that one. :srofl:
