Early Australian hang glider builder and pilot: George Augustine Taylor. And then shortly after George's flight: his wife Florence flew the hang glider.

Note that George was below one of the wings of the glider; he hung from the upper wing via struts and wires. He grasped the bar below to establish some control of the flight.
Recall how parallel lines may geometrically be seen as meeting at an infinite point forming a kind of triangle : )
