Hey, I'm not all that perfect! 8-)

If I ever bump into Howie, he can by me a beer!

:salute: :salute: :salute:

PS - I'd love to see a picture of Howie's Fusion hang strap set-up. I do think there was an earlier version of the "rocker" system, but I've never seen an actual example.

I helped Ole dismantle a Fusion in my back yard and still have most of the bones. Ole did later want the folding basetube and somehow I got it to him.
Some of the pulleys and crossbar hinge attachments are in a box here somewhere and I might have the Rocker arm too. If it's the one pictured like Scott's that will accept the bungee cord I can GIVE it to Howie. That might be a better idea than changing the shear axis if the drilled holes get hand drilled in the wrong place.
What say Howie? Should I find any parts? I can post a picture of what I have available. (It might take a level three search Howie -- I mean however.)

Well now I'm :?
Is there such a wing as a Fusion XC - 155 :?:
I still haven't come across a Rocker hang block yet but now I'm wondering if it was a Fusion that I helped Ole part out or something else.
If the picture below is of Fusion parts there is still hope I have a Rocker hang block ---- SOMEWHERE
Are these Fusion Parts.PNG

LATER EDIT
Part of the level one search included a trip to the boneyard. There was a time when I was younger that I could have walked up to this assortment and pointed out each part and identified it.
So now I put on my glasses and inspected each tube for factory identifying writings only to find NONE.
I'm thinking -- how stupid was that?
Now I'm thinking how stupid was I to not label each part as I disassembled possibly --- well ---now I don't remember how many gliders?

Anyway still no Rocker hang block.
LATER EDIT STILL
Looking at the the manual that Sam posted I'm thinking the crossbar center block isn't anything like I have pictured.
I could have my parts mixed up in the box.

Bill,

This is not the shortest way to an answer, but . . . Wills Wing manuals give dimensions for each frame member. If you have Fusion parts, then they will match up to one of the (2 or 3?) size Fusions in the manual.

But, also, WW did make a glider model called the XC (Cross Country). A Google search turned it up in seconds. Down load an XC manual and it may also confirm, by dimensions given, that you have an XC frame.

*** Side Note - If any of those old bones are a WW Fusion 141 left side (inboard) leading edge (and it's in good shape) I'd love to make a deal with you. Heck, the XC's (or other size Fusion) LE may be close enough to modify into a Fusion 141 inboard LE. :?: :?: :?:

Okay,
Sam posted a link above, a few posts back. The slider block for the crossbar -- that I don't have.
I'll have to ask Ole (John Q Olson). Maybe he remembers. I think when he stuffed the launch up at Villa Grove Co. and Mike Ellsworth was there to help him. That is when he made parts out of whatever he was flying at the time.
I might be towing tomorrow if it isn't as windy as their forecasting but later I can measure what I have.
I'll try and find out for sure what bones I have, find the manual and see if we can get you a LE. I just remembered that Dave Church gave me some tubes off of a HP-2 but the rest should be from Ole.
Now I'll try to bring up the XC 155 manual.
Found it:

Howie & Scott,
I left messages on the phones of Ole and Mike to find out what I have for parts here at my place. I'm going to start labeling.
I'm leaning toward WW XC 155 more than A Fusion and also some HP2 tubes.
Scott maybe you can help me figure out from the two manuals below if any left inboard LE's are interchangeable.
So far looking at the manuals things are not looking that good.

Okay. I read it and sent you one back.
Ole called back and there was a little hemming and Hawing about what glider bones of his I have here.
He finally said something to the effect that he has left a trail of broken and kinked aluminum from the other side of the world to where he is now. :srofl:
I'll just have to check the manuals and measure the parts until something matches.

Also on his Fusion he said he even flew it one time when the hang block wasn't sitting in the cradle and he never noticed the difference.

He is sure that stripping that stuff off and just hanging from around the keel would work fine.

He also drifted slightly left of the censor comity and advanced a conclusion that the hang block was a big pain in a posterior portion of his anatomy. (to put things mildly.)

Howie,
I still haven't found my/Ole's hang block yet.

Scott,
I measured and marked some Aluminum tubing that I have here except for the really big diameter tubes like they used for HP2 corssbars.
Since I'll be giving you the part you need and there will be no commerce here I guess it will be okay to post my used parts pictures. Let me know if we can connect you to something that will get your Fusion back into shape.
By the way PM's don't have picture attachments. So I'll post the pictures here.
(sometimes the pictures will not fit on your screen and it may help to hold down the Ctrl key and then click the minus (-) key.)

Let me know if you need the larger diameter tubes measurements.
Let me know if the picture is cut off in width and not showing all of the measurements.
Next I'll do a level 2 search for the hang block for Howie.
