Howie,

I have a 2001 WW Fusion SP 141 and with mine there is a bungee cord that holds the "hang block" in place. I've never had an issue with it hopping out of place while flying and can't quite figure on how that would happen. Maybe yours doesn't have the bungee cord?

Sorry it took so long Howie. Here's a picture of my Fusion 141's hang strap rocker. The photo includes its (1/8" black) bungee cord, which wraps around the keel. Once in place, this arrangement keeps the rocker from moving up off of its "cradle". Seen here, the rocker is rotated 180 degrees to where it should be (below the keel) in folded-up, in-the-bag mode.

My Fusion SP was made in late 2001 and was one of the last production units (or close to it) so the bungee cord could have been added at some point before. Call Wills Wing and they could tell you what the story is.

I'd expect that you bought your Fusion second hand? If you've got holes on both sides of your rocker, that's where the bungee is suppose to pass through and loop around the keel. It's not impossible that it broke on your Fusion and was not replaced (by the previous owner?).

I'm sorry to "butt in", but I just want to thank Scott very publicly.

I don't think Scott knows Howie, but Scott took the time to haul out his glider, open up the bag, take a picture, post the picture, and give insights and recommendations. He did all that without asking for a dime of compensation.

That is a perfect model of the kind of people we want here on the US Hawks.

Thanks Scott.
