Our procedure is roughly following Robert's Rules which is the defacto standard for meetings. So in order to bring anything before the Board for a vote it should be introduced as a motion and be seconded by one other Board member.
I just noticed that our "button" for introducing a motion says "nominate" and it might be better if it said "nominate/motion", but that gets too long for a button.

Back on topic, I plan to implement the mission statement banner today ... one way or another.
