Dolly for packed and bagged HG at Dockweiler

I am aiming to build and explore the following:
The extant two basebar wide-tread wheels may be used for a two-wheeled dolly. Add a cushioned 3-ft platform to spread pressure of the wing placed on the platform. Connect the two wheels to the basebar which is loose from the wing; connect the basebar to the dolly platform. Place the basebar as axle of the wheels aft of the center of gravity a bit. Connect to the wing pack nose a small wheel or skid. Pull the whole affair via a drag line. The tricycle affair should go on asphalt, concrete and launch-area sand. Use the same two wheels and basebar for assembling the wing for flight operations.

I may have sent you pictures of the transport trolley I made. I have not used it in earnest but it should work and it easily folds to go in car.

Your share had me look into images a bit more and found the Zoot in your neighborhood; I bet someone saw your deal and dealt further!

I have one of those and I was going to use it for wheeling the Alpha 210 (when I first got it) from my truck at Dockweiler. However it had been sitting in my garage for years and the tire tubes were rotten. I couldn't find replacements, so I shelved the plan.

They are designed to attach to sea kayaks for getting to the water.

Hi Joe,

The concept is fairly basic so not surprising similar ones exist. The materials were old down tubes and other bits that were in the garage so cost was minimal. Happy if anyone wants to use the pictures to make their own and save the back ache carrying from car to launch.
