Thanks to Joe Greblo for providing a great site, and to Greg Dewolf for managing the flying Sunday.

As a tribute to the candidate name "Sandy Sneakers", Joe and I recorded each other emptying the sand from our shoes. Here are two snapshots:

If I can post a picture of the Dockweiler Beach sand in my travel case can I be a member of the club? . . . :)

I expect there's still some even in my sneakers! If not, then how did the sand appear in my travel case? :eh:

Perhaps this could be one of the requirements for club membership? . . .

Hi Scott,

I think we plan to start with everyone who attended the 2015 Otto meet as members - if they'd like to join. I hope that includes you!!

Hey, I was there in spirit --- but no I'll wait until I can pour sand out of my sneakers after a flight in keeping with my no BS log book.
I always round down to the next minute of flight.

The GPS and Flytec never agree on altitude so at best I only take the average or lowest altitude to record in the log book.
I always round down to the nearest foot on bulls eyes.
The reason for this is that years back two different pilots that I was about to tow up lead me to believe they had much experience with hang gliding. ("How many flights? Oh, I'd have to check my log book. I just couldn't say right now.")
One pilot had a very safe climb up and release but was so scared that he didn't want to go again. The other pilot forgot to release, locked out and nose dived into the lake from two hundred feet. Both pilots were okay but the person that learned the most that day was me!
Neither pilot lied to me but by extravagantly puffing or omission I'd been lead down the wrong path.
This was back in the day when USHGA resisted embracing tow flight.

BOB ...........Perhaps you may be able to handle doing a "One on One " video interview with Mr Joe Faust, for historic purposes ....
the next time you get to D&W for a HG flight session with him ?

Bob,
I am jubilant with your victories of not being arrested at Torrey and flying at the

Dockweiler event. One of the prices paid I have unfortunately taken 3 casualties(fatalities in my inner circle) in the battle against the ushpa/torrey cartel/quetzalcoatl cult. I am unscathed as they missed me.

Hi Doug,

I'm sorry for your losses.
The last gift our friends give us is a reminder that life is indeed short.
Make good use of that gift and make your life count.
