Even in your photo the radar station is already gone. It was on the cliff very near the trailer, just south of launch.

What year was it removed? Do you remember that huge parabolic dish? I never saw it operational, maybe only the weather station.

This is interesting...found some framed pix; one of the Windsport Magazine cover, and one balloon drop Flight Realities did where Hawkxhurst bumped me off the drop and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing interesting on release.

I was gonna wang it over a few times. I wuz robbed. So, I need to dust these off and bring them. They're interesting.

Another hang gliding VIP attending: I just got word from Dave Cronk that Tom Price will be coming with him to the meet.

This is definitely going to be a day to not be missed by anyone wishing to be immersed among great spirits of hang gliding. One of the spirits that will not be visible to us, but I'm sure will be felt there is Richard Miller and many other HG pioneers who have flown on to the next thermal.
