Motion: Dan Poynter as Honorary member of U.S. Hawks

Dan traveled to interview hundreds of people to form his class book Hang Gliding.
Later he revised the book many times. The influence of his book was huge.
Then he published book Kiting (on tow-launched hang gliding)
His years of parachute work and skydiving included published the tome The Parachute Manual.
He flew hang gliders as well; photo of his flying a hang glider is in one of his books.

My vote:   Yes  
(I thought making the motion sufficed for a yes vote; I may need to brush up on my Robert's Rules of Order. I guess now that the vote is an item in itself. So, I vote now.)

As I recall, Bill is still our Chairman, and since he voted yes, and since it is unanimous among our Board members, I think it's safe to say that it has passed.    :thumbup:
