Good memory Bill. I think it was our Terms of Service discussions from February of 2015. My how time flies!!

We broke the Terms of Service down into sections and voted on each section. Here are the links:

After reviewing the second link in the quote above:
    Terms of Service Discussion (Paragraph 3, Sentence 1)
and noticing that the Hawks Terms of Service did not precisely address Michael Grisham's complaint of, "Slander," I suggest that the US Hawks place a clarification seperate but underneath the current (4/19/2019) Terms of Service (Registration Agreement).
It would be a Memorandum of Understanding that the US Hawks also recognize liable and defamation of character as things that are also not permitted to be posted.

  MOTION by Bill Cummings: Memorandum of Understanding by the US Hawks that, LIABLE, and DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER are also grounds for the disciplinary procedure to be invoked.

I would make one correction. It is defamation not deformation. Sometimes spelling is important.

I think the "... any other material that may violate any laws ..." clause covers libel (even though only "slander" is explicitly called out).

This is from our current terms of service:

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “US Hawks Hang Gliding Association” is hosted or International Law.

Unfortunately, the determination of what material actually violates a law isn't always known until it goes to court. So there's always a gray area that we have to contend with. I think we should just do our best and try to be fair to everyone. I think that's what we did in this case. Thanks to all who helped.
