Warning about a warning

When I see this "Warning" I don't see a welcome mat.
I'm not attempting to get politically correct.
Is it just me or is this a little off putting?
If you were hosting a gathering and heard a knock at your door, opened the door to find someone you don't
know standing on your welcome mat, would you turn to your guests and yell out this warning?
I think my mother would turn over in her grave.
I'm looking for a suggestion that will move the tact meter needle at least off of the peg. (Sorry Bob)
How about something like this:

I like being welcoming. :D

Can you post some suggested alternatives to vote on?

The reason for the harsh warning is that anyone could copy someone else's avatar from some other forum and pretend to be them here on the U.S. Hawks. They could use their names as well. So someone could come here pretending to be John Heiney or Davis Straub or Mark Forbes. As feeble humans, there's a part of our brains that thinks "seeing is believing". The warning let's people know that there's been no checking of the identity at all and the person could be anyone. It's a growing problem in the computer age and it's one of the reasons why I like people to talk on the phone and meet in person as much as possible.

But maybe something more soothing like a pastel question mark would be less offensive?
