I didn't want people falling asleep watching it!!        :srofl:

Good observation Bill!! When we get back to work on the training manual it will have to be a bit more realistic than that.

I think this was the first "Happy Thanksgiving" post to the U.S. Hawks. It's been 8 years now and it seems like a lifetime of new friends who love flying and freedom. Today I am thankful to everyone who has worked to combine flying and freedom.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Bob, or I might say "Thanks for Giving", and here's hoping you can go for flight after dinner, if you are "not too heavy".

Unfortunately, Tasha didn't win the San Diego Mayoral election this year, but she may run again in the future. I would certainly have preferred her to Todd Gloria.

Either way, Tasha continues to advocate for justice, and it's an honor to have a picture of her with "Little Hawk". Thanks Tasha!!    :salute:

I was browsing through my old photos in preparation for my upcoming Gliderport "Trial of the Century" (November 19th through November ??th), and I found this picture. As I recall, Tom was a contact from John Heiney and Tom was giving a motivational speech at a large gathering. The setting was a hotel banquet room somewhere down by the water, and Tom wanted to use the sport of hang gliding as part of his speech. He wanted a "prop" to go along with it, and a full-size hang glider was just too big to set up. So John asked me if I could make "Little Hawk" available. You all know my answer. :)

The hotel folks were very concerned about how much room it would take up if we set it up normally, so we set it up vertically against the wall. We folded the control bar flat to minimize its footprint, and I left off one of the tip wands so it wouldn't go through the ceiling.

It worked out pretty well. Thanks again to John and Mitch and Dino and Margie and everyone else who pitched in to make this glider a reality.
