If the crime occurred outside of the City of San Diego, please contact the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction where the crime occurred.
Contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200 to report crimes occurring in unincorporated areas of San Diego County and in cities served by the Sheriff’s Department.

While the City Attorney’s Office is prohibited by City Charter and other laws from interpreting the law or giving legal advice to individual citizens, an attorney in private practice may be able to assist you.
