It was expressed that there was great concern that the incoming administration headed by President Elect Donald Trump
could walk back some of the gains one of which is the Organ Mountains- Desert Peaks Conservation Act.
Some of the free hand-outs gave general information about answers to, Wilderness FAQS:
Generally Wilderness areas prohibit the use of motor vehicles but there are a few exceptions for emergency vehicles and administrative use.
Bikes are prohibited but the bike riding community is trying to change this prohibition in certain areas (AZ).
Only foot travel or horse back for Wilderness areas.
Hunting and fishing are allowed subject to state and federal laws.
Grazing is allowed as before the designation but Congress on occasion will prohibit grazing on new designated areas.
