I'm the Wrong person to ask the tandem questions.
I sold the rides mainly from 1979 - 1989 at Torry pines; then in BC for
another 5 summers.
That's Rides, not instruction, so the turn-over rate would
be much different.

Most riders in one day was 20.
Here is one for a Laugh --- at Torry the ride was $20 bucks; and
lasted about 10 - 15 min ; unless she was Good Looking. Then
i would usually find a way to loose the lift and go to the beach.
The turn-over rate in That scenario, was Quite High !
Probably at "Least" 80% of Those, took their clothing Off for Me !!!

Sure was Fun !!
Didn't do much for my "Work Ethic" though.
