I hope no one takes offense, but from my perspective, these guys took what should have been a good 3 minute technical explanation of how they got the boat off the beach ... and turned it into a 45 minute docu-drama with very little actual content.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

I agree with Bob. That Beached Boat Deal was a little long in the tooth. You know being that We might very well be heading into drought conditions like California experienced Back in the early Eights. I was a Teenager living in the SF south bay Town of Concord California. i remember how we sent Water down to Southern California so that People in Southern California could continue to water their Lawns, and clean their Driveways. i imagine that if our water situation get's once again Dire, I think that Phrase; "What Goes Around Comes Around" Will still be valid. Then Southern California will ship water to uUs up here in Northern California.

Enjoy this Old School, Old Guy,
"Sky Surfing" video, with a nice 'Longboard".
music not too bad

The sheer beauty and elegance of a king post glider basic in it's original form.

I remember the "sky surfers" of So Cal,
a place where, more surfers/sail ers, more engineers, more pilots and stewardesses, more mechanics. and all the aircraft industries,
gathered in this one little spot on planet Earth, to produce these men.

Nothing against XC but it was fun watching them fly and not, "fly away"
but I realize the master trade that is flying anything x-country, not for everybody for sure.

Chris,
Could you launch into wind and fly this way?
Meet John at the beach, or for a kick at TPGP, on a windy day and tether him to your nose, and "dance with your glider", make a music video out of it and interview people on camera, and maybe other pilots would want to strap in and get to dance.
lord knows John and cameras, and your acoustic guitar.
I'm sure he'll let go of the tether if you wanted to fly on your own again.
TPGP should have a NOTAM that forbids PG from flying in high wind, but also one that shows that a Hang Glider is strong and is the most elegant flying machine:thumbup:
