Awesome! I'm slowly getting this map filled in.

Also, please feel free to message the information to me or create an account and keep it updated.

Also, Mt. Buz looks fantastic! They do glider (sailplane) operations out of the county airport?

Logan, :salute: Thanks for all your efforts to free 103

The annual sailplane event is ~45mi south of us in Uvalde, at Garner Field.

We very seldom have glider ops. Occasionally a couple of their gliders will land here if they are on a return task and can't make it back.
Most often they breakdown and trailer back. I have seen it when a tug will fly up for relaunch next day.

Mt. Buz is "the little hill that could."<500ft AGL I wish it saw more action. The road ends a ways from the top requiring a 15min hike with PG or 45min with a HG.

David Prentice captured the US, PG footlaunch record here in 2008?, 165mi., that stood for 5years. He made that same flight several times.

Thanks Again,
Sam

Sam,

Thanks for adding your input.

I have been trying to find public/published flying sites, but advertisements seem to be limited to paid events/training which will "open up" access to all the local splendor.

So if you know a spot, public/private or even public which requires membership (red pins in the map) please let me know.

This is now becoming a collaborative effort with a pilot-web developer.
