Horse Canyon today (Sept 2, 2016)

Postby Bob Kuczewski » Fri Sep 02, 2016 11:20 pm

I had a nice flight at Horse Canyon today thanks to Frank Colver. Thanks Frank!!!

It was also good to see Andy, Dan, John, and Mike.

Frank and I met around noon, and Frank showed off one of his home-made flutes. Amazing craftsmanship!!!

We went to the top and set up my Falcon. Unfortunately, my quirky camera turned itself off, so this is one of the few frames I got:

I flew about 45 minutes, and did a fair amount of scratching. Eventually I found my way up to 1,500 feet over launch.

I like landing in the small LZ. But since it's been a while since I'd flown (and I was pretty tired), I landed in the large LZ across the freeway.
