Sounds like good times ahead. What glider are you going to use?

I've got an Alpha 210 on its way. Check out the video posted on the FDGS site of Hobson / Miller Day when Mike Meier brought one out to Dockweiler for demo flights. However, I didn't fly it that day. It was late in the day and I was already beat from running around in the sand since 9:30 am. With my weight (230) I wanted more wind for those legs. 8-)

BTW - I discovered that Vimeo had at some point changed my default to "only me". From now on I'll make sure that any Vimeo I download is the correct privacy setting.

Thanks, Frank, for showing shop steps in your harness adventure. Using shop-hang and ladder control frame are imprinting your shop with new flight resonances.
No rush! We will see your good works on next Funday Sunday.

Notice next post on ARP's grandson and friend in a practice rig that Tony set up.

ARP (yes, our early pioneer --- 1960) has recently set up for his grandson and grandson's friend a rig for practicing using harness and virtual triangle control frame (TCF).
Five videos have been uploaded and here linked:

Hi Joe,
As with most children's activities , swings, roundabouts,, slides, climbing frames, etcetera, a helmet might provide some protection but in general they are not worn. Having spatial awareness and developing natural agility would likely be hindered by the wearing of protective gear such as helmets and pads. The consequences of hurting yourself are a good teacher and reliance on protective gear might dull this learning process. However I do normally wear protective gear when I consider it prudent.

I thought the prone take off swing goes hand in hand with the Little Hawk ground running exercise.
Tony

I love it :!: :!: :!: Wish I had that when I was a kid. However, a friend did have a big eucalyptus tree on the edge of a steep drop. We would "Launch" the high swing from the roof of his chicken coup and swing out over the "abyss".
