Gary Wilson Memorial

Postby Bob Kuczewski » Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:39 am

I just got this from David Raybourn:

Pioneer Hang Glider and Ultralight Pilot Gary Wilson passed away in July. There will be an open house memorial on Sun. August 18, 2013. The house is open all day. Pilots are targeting a 2PM to 4PM window.

The address in Portland is- 4026 SE Vineyard Way. It is in the Oakgrove area off SE McLoughlin Blvd. Gary's place is on the south side of SE Vineyard, between River Rd and Wiley Way.

Gary was an early force in OHGA, one of the first HG dealers (UP) and one of the first ultralight dealers (Kasperwing). His skills as a private airplane pilot and his extensive boating experience were put to use as water towing progressed from flat kites to delta wings. He most currently was a key member of the Kasperwing Club and an active pilot. Gary was involved in many hobbies and interests and had a generous sense of social unity. He will be very missed by his many friends in the flying community.
