Slow news day

How is this news? 1) Over-excited busybodies called 9-1-1 for nothing, and 2) Media reports essentially that nothing happened.

A hang-glider made an unexpected landing at a Santa Clara County park near Milpitas Friday afternoon, a Santa Clara County Parks spokeswoman said.

The man made an "unscheduled landing" at Ed Levin County Park after he had equipment issues sometime around noon, park spokeswoman Tamara Clark said.

He landed far from any park-goers, some of whom reported seeing him going down, Clark said.

He managed to walk away uninjured, she said.

Emergency crews that had initially been called to the scene were called off when the man didn't need medical attention, Clark said.

The park has a lot of open space and is home to a hang-gliding club on Monument Peak Road, Clark said.

They neglected:
"Alert, hang glider falls off mountain into the air; we lost sight of it as it became very small and then disappeared; it seemed like it just vanished from the face of the earth!"

Update: Eye witness accounts of Inter-dimensional falling! (AKA IDF) It also became evident that some observers were able to see slightly beyond the IDF threshold due to the fact that all observers were reported exclaiming :wtf: at different points during the vanishment. (New word)
