I open this topic thread using Stephan's words from 2007

What will come after the Rogallo-type-HG and Paraglider boom? Let's see,

Speculation here is invited. What might the next big surge in personal gliding-focused flight look like? Will it occur?

Didn't you coin the phrase yourself on the day of the 40th anniversary of the first Otto Lilienthal meet ... did you say something like "Dirt Gliding"?

We're all getting older and our freedoms are getting smaller. That's not a good combination for the future of free flight.
