I am really wondering what it will be to Fly My 158 Predator sans One Hundred pounds. John tells Me that I will not believe how strongly that I will now be able to Climb. Hell when I was packing an extra 100 pounds I climbed pretty darn well. So I am putting this Question out ; Has anyone had a similar weight change Plus or Minus while Flying the same Glider?

Here is the double whammy benefit regarding Flying My Predator so Heavy. One; by hooking so Heavy. I was able to cover a lot of ground in short order. Two; The 158 Predator has an incredible ability to be Flown hooking in so Heavy as I did. I mean I used the Gliders ability to climb many, many times when I Flew XC. I remember getting so Low that I could see individual Birds roosting on Branches of Trees, then still being able to get back up. Predator what a Glider! My Predator has allowed me to pull off some great Flights.

The way that I lost weight was to first pound so badly that the Doctors at John Muir Hospital told My friend Pilot X to tell My Family that They should put My things in order, for I would not survive".

My "Pound Diet" is not for the faint of Heart. Step One; Pound, Pound so hard You almost Die. Step Two move into the Hospital of Your choice. Then spend three Months in a Coma. The weight just drips off your Body.

OK., so no more of this talk regarding how I almost died, Blah, Blah, Blah. I sound like a Drama Queen. Heck I am on My way Back, back to the Sky, back to the Top of the Stack. There are still some great flying adventures that I want to have.

I so want to do some XC Sky-Camping. Check this out not once, but on two occasions I earned More Money with My Predator than I ever did as a Carpenter or as a Contractor. The two deals were one a Movie shoot to promote a Winery up in Napa California. That Movie shoot paid $850.00. On that Flight I got as close to sinking out as I dared. Yea I wanted to deliver on My obligation. So I did the scratch, scratch, SCRATCH MY WAY UP DEAL. The way I saw it was; I was being paid some very good Money $850.00 for oh about I really am not sure how long the flight was. But I am pretty sure that it was less than an Hour of Flying. I do not know about anyone else, but $850.00 for an flight, a Flight that was under an Hour is good |Money. The other was where I was paid $450.00 for merly setting up My Predator in front of a House over the Black-Hawk Housing Development over in Danville California.

I I have been thinking about Flying, yes Flying My incredibly Smoking Hot HG, My Predator 158, what a Glider it is! If I were Flying it these Days, by the way I am not Flying these Days. If I was Flying these Days, I would see if I could line up a couple paying hobs for My Predator and Myself to do. I would use the Money that I made with My Predator to help Me to afford finishing My 1971 Plymouth road-runner. My road-runner is the that I want to compete in the Silver-State road race upin Nevada. My road-runner project is at the Tail-end of requiring Me to spend Vast sums of Money. But my road-runner has a very large Hungry Tail.

Predator; A smoking Hot Fast Glider.

Roadrunner; A smoking Hot Fast Bird.

[TIME AND DISTANCE]

It really seems sort of odd how Pilots thought about flying distance back when I began MY Free-Flight aspirations, while I was on Vacation down in New Zealand. In New Zealand Pilots would talk about a Long Flight being a 100 Kilometer Flight. So after I returned to the United States. Pilots still talked about Flying a !00, But the distance was not the same as Pilots down in New Zealand. Yes the "Number of units of measurement were still the same number of measurement units that One should aspire too fly, "ONE HUNDRED" But The Pilots used different units of Measurements. Kilometers and Miles.

It seems today that in order to be taken seriously A Pilot should be able to Fly at least 250 Miles.

I still want to Fly a measly 100 Miles in under 4 Hours.

Thanks for posting links to hanggliding.org. That's an example of what makes this an open forum where we value free speech. We value your free speech.

Now try that on hanggliding.org. Try to post a link to any of your U.S. Hawks topics (like this one) on hanggliding.org and see what happens.

There are a surprising number of people who will check their freedom of speech at the door for a seat at Jack's table. I don't think I'll ever understand how they can look themselves in the mirror without being disappointed.
