This is almost completely off Subject, yes almost it is entirely off subject. Except I have a Mental challenge here. Today My computer refuses to let Me LOg in to my Email. I punched in the same Key Strokes that I always use to9 Log in. But today, this Morning unlike every other Day my computer fails to do its job. I do not understand. For I punch the same keys in the same sequence as I always do. I get nothing, Zilch, Nada.

When something like this happens, it's important to have an alternate communication path to your site operator. That's another reason why I send an email message to all of our U.S. Hawks members during the registration process. If there ever is a "glitch" (a legitimate glitch) in the forum, our members can contact me directly by email. I also make an effort to establish telephone contact with most of our regular members as yet another backup communication path.

Hopefully you can contact your email provider through such an alternate path and have it resolved.

Good luck!!

Hello everyone:

I have a couple if points to make here; I think back to what a friend of Mine said to me once; Richard XYZKW said; "Keep all lines of communication open." Well My computer Company is located up in Canada. I am unable using my Cell Phone to make a call to Canada. I am in a bit of a corner. But my sister is on Her Cell Phone talking to a Friend of ours Denese. Denese may be able to help us resolve my computer delema.

The Predator, I mean what a Glider! I have enjoyed so much success. Numerous times I have flown further on a Given Day from a Given site. While flying similar routes as Topless Gliders. To be totally Honest as far as being a Pilot. I would have to honestly rate Myself as maybe? Maybe a little better than Average. But then again as thee saying goes.; "One can not argue with success."

Well I have been thinking about Flying. Heck I almost constantly think about Flying. Well I have thought about the idea of just how Much better Glide a Predator would be able to achieve sans the Top Rigging. I think that the information regarding how well a Predator would go through the Air less Top Rigging. This information should be able to be determined, while not having to spend the exorbitant amount of Money that would be required if one was to use a Wind Tunnel. OK Question; Could this information be derived by crunching the number in a computer?

Hi Chris,

Since you have an internet connection, you can set up free email through a few other web sites like Gmail, Yahoo, and even AOL. It's good to have a backup like you said.

Regarding the topless Predator, I suspect there are two relatively easy approaches. First, I am sure that the people who've been building gliders for the past few decades could give you a pretty accurate reduction in drag estimate from all the gliders they've built over the years. Second, there have been many studies on the drag of cylinders and simple airfoils, like a kingpost. So it wouldn't be very difficult to make an estimate of drag using those results as well. Both calculations would be much easier because there is very little interaction between the top rigging and the rest of the wing.

Boy how I would Love to do some Playing with a Wind tunnel. Test the stock Predator. Test it at different speeds. Also remove the top rigging and perform the same tests. It would also be quite cool to have what is considered today's Super-Ship Topless Glider. That way with the Predator not wearing top rigging it would be cool to be able to see how clean the wing was. Also you could determine which wing had the best shape. Yes having some time that was allotted to you by an Company that had a wind tunnel. This could be quite Fun!

I said before, a little bit about the great Performance that I have encountered while Flying the same XC Routs as other Pilots Flying Topless Gliders. Yes the Predator has kicked a** while dragging those Luff Lines, and that Kingpost through the Air. I can only imagine how great a Glide one would have if One could remove the Top rigging.

As that saying says; "You can't argue with success" . But I was talking to John a Month or Two months ago. I was talking about my returning to Flying after which has now been 11 Years 5 Months. I asked John if I would still be able to Kick Tail regarding how How My Predator would perform compared to Topless? John replied; "You need to know that they have had Twenty Years to Work on it."

I always felt that it was not the Speed and the Glide that allowed Me to enjoy the great flights that I had enjoyed while Flying my Predator. It was the Ability that The Predator exudes when it is asked. Maneuvered by it's Pilot, That would have been Me. I was able to stay On-Glide longer knowing that I would be able to Climb back up. Yes when I was so low that I could watch small Birds who had parked themselves in Trees. I had the confidence that I could stay i the game and get back up.

So I just want to say that I am going to eat My Lunch. Then I will be going out to the Garage and then i will take my Glider out and I will Set up My Predator. For Bob wants Me to take set up MY predator so that I will be able to take some measurements then I will relay those Measurements to Bob. You Guys have absolutely no idea how cool it is for Me to be doing things such as this, and to be able to work oN my Road-Runner. I just love Speed! That is why I was so drawn to acquiring a Predator twenty or so Years ago. With My Road runner I want to run the Silver-State road race. I hope to Run Two Hundred miles an Hour or more. I also plan on getting a Thoroughbred or a Big old Warm-blood Gorse, with whom I will Ride and hopefully the Horse and I will be able to clear a Seven Foot high Jump .' Yes Seven Feet or More!

Some of You guys, if not most of You Guys know that I am a Pilot who after oh say 20 Plus years of Flying had a very bad landing, no make that a pounding extraordinaire! Yes I did the ;"To Close Tooo Death Deal" I spent three months in a coma. I had an inept know-nothing fool for a Doctor who's prognosis was that I would never walk again, and that My Mental capability would never be much better than a Potato. Potato. I eat Potatoes I do not want to be compared to one. I do not know what that Doctors name was, for I was in a coma when that Charleton, that Quack was mouthing off regarding my future Physical and My Mental State. My Father was told what this Jerk had said about Me being a Potato. Well My Dad said to me Months later after I had regained consciousness. My Dad said to Me: "You when you are up and functioning. You need to go find that Doctor and Beat His a**". But I want to go find this Doctor and ask Him to play Me a game of Chess. I would love to Beat Hid Brain".

I have so much time these post Pound recovery Days. Time to think about what Else? I think about Flying.

I think about The Pilot who John and I both think is the most impressive Pilot each of us have ever seen. That Pilot was Micky. Micky was this awesome One Legged Pilot. When one is talking about : {THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PILOT EVER TO FLY DOWN IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA} Then you are talking about Micky!

On the other end of the Good Pilot Spectrum, There was a Pilot named Anna. I believe that She was a Hang two. Well Anna was up on Launch on either Mt. Laguna, or was it Horse Canyon. WELL THIS Gal was up on launch with Her instructor. The Instructor was talking to Anna about her impending Launch, Then after she was Airborn to begin making pases along the Ridge. Well the instructor said to Anna the normal things that an Instructor would say to a Green-Horn Hang Two. You make Pases along the ridge. As You get lower start thinking about getting lined up into the wind. Watch for how the wind will be blowing as you get set up for an into the Wind Landing. I was not to hear what the Instructor actually said to Annba. Well I guess even though this Rookie Pilot Anna could see the LZ from Launch. She proceeded to launch Fly. Then She total blew Her Flight Plan to Pieces. For this inept Hang Two Missed the LZ by 44 Miles! 44 Miles, I mean how bad a Pilot can you Be to miss The LZ by 44 Miles. What a Disaster!

Hello Everyone:

Well My wild Life, continues to provide Me with experiences that I may or may not recover from. The Experience Where I Pounded so neverly 11 Years ah. Where I experienced a major case of Axonal shearing inside my skull, read "Brain Damage". Well the hits keep coming. For yesterday afternoon I was walking just outside My back door. Well I caught my right foot foot in a loop of cord that was attached to a Tarp that was laying on the ground. Getting My foot caught in the chord, now this was something anyone might do something like this. The big difference with MNe is that I Have spasticity from When I poundede Myself into the Ground March 28th. 2010. THe result of My having Spasticity is. That I failed to move my Left foot quickly enough so as to maintain my standing.

The end result was that I feel forward. My left Elbow struck the ground with enough force that My left arm Dislocated itself from my shoulder socklet.

So Then My Sister Kathleen drove Me down to the ER where Doctors gave Me Drugs that tendered Me unconscious so that they could Man-Handle, Shove, pull, and generally using force got My left arm back into my shoulder socket.

OK I will condense this thought into one four Words: CAN YOU SAY PAIN!
