A new type of HGing Competition (ends 3/1/2015)

Postby TommyT » Wed Dec 10, 2014 1:15 pm

We all can't compete against Hang Gliding pilots like Greg D., Kris G. or Stan A., or travel
around the globe to satisfy our competitive nature flying in Hang Gliding Comps.

Here's a Hang Gliding contest that you can do at home or work.

The rules are simple, print any of the examples found at http://hangglidingflyer.com/gallery/index.php/
on your home or office printer then display them it in a public place, then snap a
picture to document it, either post the picture here or e-mail it to tommy@usahg.org
the pilot with the most posted locations wins.

Your designs can be used in this contest if they can be posted at http://hangglidingflyer.com/gallery/index.php/

this design can't be posted at hangglidingflyer.com

examples of locations can be found at http://hangglidingflyer.com/gallery/ind ... placements

Colored flyers are optional.
posting three flyers at one location counts as one.
posting three flyers at three different walmarts counts as three.

This contest is open to all social media outlets and forums(so tell a friend).

Contest ends 3/1/2015
Contest open to all US Hang Glider pilots(except Me).
The Prize is currently $100 usa
prize amount could increase with sponsors.

I'm in!!!!

This will be a fun project, and it's a great way to get out there and promote the sport!!

I noticed that you have various versions of the cards on your site. Some have the USHPA logo and others are blank for adding other clubs. Would you mind if we "branded" some of those cards with the US Hawks logo or with some of our local club logos (like Torrey Hawks, RGSA, Shasta Sky Sailors, Southwest Texas Hang Gliders, Lakeview Hawks, AFFA, Tooele Hawks, Lakeview Hawks, etc)?

If so, I'll be happy to generate versions for each local club and make them available. Please let me know.

Bob, thats what the blank versions are for. if it would help I could make a local branding gallery at http://hangglidingflyer.com/gallery/index.php/

Super !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The examples I saw on the counters looked pretty nice (plexiglass mounting?). Do you have any suggestions on where we can get that kind of mounting hardware?

Bob, I don't mess with mounting or protection issues. I have about thirty locations that I keep stocked
and replace when needed.

I just carry scotch tape and a few Counter Cards in my car, but if needed I'd just use something like these.
