He's not dangerous :)

Postby BigBird » Mon Nov 10, 2014 6:47 pm

My flying buddy, Brian, is, or will be, posting as flyingbrian. His profile currently has an attachment warning he's an unknown person. I've known Brian since I taught him to fly nearly 3 decades ago. He's an instructor's dream student; followed the training program, flies with courtesy and safety for fellow pilots and our flying sites and 'grew up' donating many, many volunteer hours to the sport he loves too.

Thanks Phil!!!

Brian is now approved and ready to go. Sorry for the delay.

A few years ago we were over-run with automated "spam bots" that were posting garbage all over the forum. As one method to combat it, newly registered users get that "Warning: Unknown Person" avatar until they've been vouched for through some other channel (like your own recommendation or an email question that I send directly). For clubs that are just joining us, you can have your members register individually (as you've done) or you can send me a list of email addresses and requested user names and I can register and approve them all at once (with random passwords that I'll send to each member suggesting that they change it right away). It's all up to you and your club.

I hope that helps!!
