AL may get other Glider

Postby DarthVader » Mon Mar 19, 2012 12:46 pm

! Yes, also we don't have to worry about Big Al's 225 that we went to so much trouble to get away from his mentor. Now that the fear of instant DEATH has been solidly intrenched in his mind; the other day, He ask if I'd ever launched without hooking in and I told him that in 33 years of flying, it had never happened due to early hang check training. If only the canopy floaters ' no hook in needed'

That glider had a tear in the fabric right around the king post area that had started to expand that was un fixable according to Jeff Hunt and Brad Kushner that was one reson that the glider was sold, the other, there is no where to montain lanuch gliders any more in Texas... The one who has the toys to lanch gliders in my area is a real B#tt Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

However, as far as gliders go I am getting another one Moyes X2 in due time...

Where I am going to fly it I don't know where yet maybe I'll go back to Austin Tx.

PS: Al, Sorry I mislead you last night on the phone Jay's name at first did not ring a bell since I was introduced to him by Ole at Mingus mountain last summer as Jay the giant not as Jay Plaehn. We camped at the Mingus pilots camp ground behind launch for just short of a week. -----Yes I know Jay! :D

I think you Texans should take a road trip to Southern California:

Sylmar, Crestline, Elsinore, Torrey, Horse, Blossom, Otay, Soboba, Ave S, Winchester, Laguna, Little Black, Big Black, Dockweiler ....

These are all off the top of my head (I'm sure I've missed a few), and they're all within a few hours drive of one another.

ROAD TRIP!!!
