OK. so here I am after 15 Years since I had Life Altering Flight. This has been one Heck of an Experience. I do understand how some of You might say things like: "Oh now here is that Brain injured Pilot doing on, and On. and Om regarding His wanting to Fly". Wel Yes, I do Worry that My Lamenting about how My talking about the Self-inflicted Grounding that occurred because if the finale moments of My last Flight. I hope that I do not cause any pf You would simply wish that I would go away.

ON the Positive side of Things: Well., yes U do have My Eyes looking up into the Sky!

I have a Question regarding Aircraft design. when a Wing is either scaled up or scaled sown in size. Performing a Design Chane. IE scaling the Wing up in Size, there is a factor that is used, I know that One Word is factor. but the word that proceeds the Word factor I do not know what the Word is. Does anyone know what the Word is that Proceeds the Word Factor?

The Dream of Free Flight, Long Live the Dream.

I look at Myself, I think Wow, many if not all of You Must Think that I am a bit off. The Thoughts that I have running through My Head are full of Doubt that I will possibly never Fy My Predator, or ang Hang Gider again. I mean, it has now been Fifteen Years since My Last Flight. Well, all of Us began Our Quest to achieve Free-Flight by Dreaming of Just that, we dreamed of flying a HG. Even now, I think that to fly My Predator again will be simply Awesome! But I must be realistic, for I have numerous Cards stacked against Me. Then again Who knows? Maybe just Maybe this Year I will have Video to Post of Me launching a HG off a Sand Dune, or a Training Hill.

Ok, I have a Question regarding Flying a Three Axis Control Sailplane. I Flew a Grobe Sail Plane Twice. Please Take Note: Flying that Grobe Down at Byron Airpark was the only First and Second Times that I have tried to Fly a Sailplane. Flying that Grobe were the only two times that I have ever Flew a Sailplane, or any other Plane for that Matter. The one Problem that reared its Ugly Head was: While under Tow, I experienced some PIO Not a Crazy amount of PIO. But I did experience PIO. After We Released, No More PIO. Can anyone share with Ne Your Thoughts regarding dealing with PIO while being Towed? I ask this because I believe there must be some pilots here, Who Fly Both H-G's, and Sailplanes

Please share Your Thoughts, Good By Chris.

Hi Chris,

I've made three sailplane flights in my life: one winch tow and two aero tow.

I think the PIO problem is like balancing a broom. It's not so hard once you get the timing down.

{THREE AXES, BE ME: POSSIBLY}

Yea the experience, the rolling, and overcontrolling. Rolling, over controlling, and then repeating, over and over. This experienced caused Me to think that maybe I should Modify the Aircraft. I thought that I would do a better Job if the Yoke was Three Feet Lon!

But I do want to when I can get out Willams California. I believe that if I can get a Flight Flying a Sailplane where hopefully I will be able to progress with My learning how to Fly a Three Axis Control Aircraft.

But I feel confident that with More Airtime. I will be able to Progress further too where I will think of PIO as a Memory. I know that I am not the first Perspective Sail Pilot to experience control problems. Isn't PIO called a Syndrome?

SPEED AND GLIDE:

The raw performance of that Grobe got My attention. I mean the Glide slope was an Ah Wow moment For Me. I can no see why that Pilot who was Flying with Mickey while THEY WERE Flying out of the RENO Airport. To calm Mikeys FEARS THAT Tey were getting a little further from the Airport than maybe they should think about heading back towards the Altitude so that They had would be able to make back to the Runway. I can just see Mikeys Face after the Other Pilot said to Mikey: Relax, we have SFO On Glide.

{AIREAL BLESSINGS}

I watch this Video of Cross country flying. I think to Myself; Ah what Freedom that We are able to injury When We fly our hang gliders. Really, we are just plain Blessed!

In My effort to return to the Sky. I very well might accomplish this quest by flying some more of MY flying Sailplanes Why shouldn't I Fly Sailplanes some more While no, the Flying of a Sailplane is different from how We fly our Hang gliders. sailplanes operate in the same environment, the SKY! OH My, I say sign Me up!

Wow! The albatross what a Flying, Soaring bird. If an Albatross sinks out while trying to work a Thermal, then that is a tough Day to try to get up.

An Albatross with all its Wing, is a Soaring Machine!

So this is pretty col. being able Post My Thoughts on Flying. Then Hopefully I will get returns by a Couple of You HG Pilots regarding something that I am trying to work out in My Mind.

So anyways, Here I go:

This is a Question that I will Propose to John when I get to see Him. I have had such success with being able to Work Lift on the Meagerest Disregarding thermal Strength. I have always been fascinated By My Predators ability to not only be able to Maintain, but to gain altitude on Days when if I were on another High-Performance Glider, Yea I knew that if I were Flying another Manufactures High Performance Glider. I would sooner, than later have to set up a D-B-F. When I asked john about his thoughts regarding what his thoughts were regarding when He first Flights on the Predator. What did he think how the glider would perform in weak Lift? John, with His always thoughtful humble Position said to ME: "I Had Hopes that the Predator would do well".

WEll I have lavished enough praise on the Predator.

WHAT I NEED TO DO:

I need to get to Flying My Predator and stop typing My Thoughts about My Glider.

Ok here I am sitting here 4-22-25. I think that there just Might be a Chance that I May be able to do a: {BREAK OUT}. Yes, in spite of my having Pounded Myself into the Ground Fifteen Years ago. I just might be capable, Physically Able to take flight for Me this Mere thought is just so Totally Awesome.

Where, which Launch, will be: {The Launch} That will make it possible for e to return to Free-Flight is now Possibly a Month away.

Physical realities. These Days I weigh rite around Two Hundred Pounds. I mean I have weighed as much as Two Hundred Six Pounds Dressed at Kaiser. I have weighed as little as 194 Pounds. So, as Mark Lilledahl used to say after saying that His weight also hovered around Two Hundred Pounds: Plus, or Minus. Mark said once when a Pilot over at Funston asked Mark: "Mark, How Much do You Weigh?" Mark replied: I" am basically a Two Hundred Pound Pilot". By the way: Mark flew the One Forty-Two Predator.

WE, LOOSING MORE WEIGHT:

I have been stuck here at rite around Two Hundred Pounds, Plus or Minus Two Hundred Pounds that is, for some time now. I am just short of being Six Feet Four Inches tall. I just say that My Height is Six Foot Three. Yes, I do want to have weigh the Optimum Body weight for a Pilot Who is Flying a One Fifty-Eight Predator. The optimum weight for a Pillot Who Flys a One Fifty-Eight Predator would be rite around 185 Pounds. I will need to change how I eat. Nothing Drastic mind You, just tone down the Calories a little.

If I am able to Fly My Predator as Well as I used to before I Pounded. Then I can only imagine how good my Sink-Rate will be.
