Succinct! On point!
Perseverance cemented!

But it seems like the council is dead. Will even one councilmember know the history, the facts, and then rise up to help cure a deep bruise in the City of San Diego's face to the recreational flesh of its citizens and visitors?

No. I think no one will fix the problem at Torrey until the whole truth is revealed why the City is not bound by the settlement the city signed after they lost as a defendant. And until the head person that isn’t doing the job
and has ordered every one to look the other way and that person faces justice.

You Guys should not feel like the; "Lone Rangers". Up North here where I live. Our Park Rangers. our employes by the way, have rub amok, they have lost site of their reality. For they do not see their job as an Employee who is up on the Mountain serving their Employers, that would be Us. Yes We pay their wages. They see their place as one of how they are protecting the Park against Us, the Property owning Tax Paying , The owners of the mountain. I mean ir really has degraded to this state. Talk about the Tail whipping the Dog.

Glider Port Lease "Hangs" in the balance
"Breathtaking Torrey Pines lot has had month-to-month deal since 2008"

"It’s San Diego City Historical Site #315, listed on both the state and national Registry of Historic Places, a small patch of land on an ocean bluff known as “The Kitty Hawk of the West.”
The no-rent lease is one of a handful that the city has. In 2008 the then-head of the real estate department questioned the wisdom of a rent-free deal to a for-profit business on public land.
Asked why it has taken three years to move to redo the lease, a department spokesman said all such proposals are “prioritized based upon staff workload and scheduling.”

"And it’s all rent free".

"The city collects no money under the terms of the lease — known as a “flat-rate lease” — which was first negotiated in an exclusive, No Bid arrangement in 1998. That agreement expired in2018"

For the past two decades the city has leased the property to a private company founded by a former city police officer, which runs flight operations, sells flying lessons and equipment.

And it’s all rent free.

The city collects no money under the terms of the lease — known as a “flat-rate lease” — which was first negotiated in an exclusive, no-bid arrangement in 1998. That agreement expired in 2008.

Bob,

Is the 2014 court case document available here so we can compare the two.
There were some other no bid leases going on in the "hold over" mode.
I think that it is at the base of any future lawsuits or appeals.
You testified and then they locked you up, and in court, and continued their "false advertising" and down right lies campaign to the public. The 33 cause for action's against you, were/are, just a ploy to distract the public from what's really going on and it worked,
They quickly went from "Hang Gliding & Paragliding" advertisements to;
Paragliding & hang gliding
showing one small HG in amongst 20 large PG's.

And it’s all rent free.

The city collects no money under the terms of the lease — known as a “flat-rate lease” — which was first negotiated in an exclusive, no-bid arrangement in 1998. That agreement expired in 2008.

For the past two decades the city has leased the PUBLIC property to a private company founded by a former city police officer, which runs flight operations, (for his multi million dollar private company operating on a historic glider park) sells flying lessons and equipment. If you want quality Hang Gliding information,...go somewhere else.

And it’s all rent free.

I called TPGP and they said that Hang Gliders rarely show up any more due to the overcrowding, but on really windy days where PG's can't fly, then they come. O.K.?
oh, also the repair shop told me that they do not work on Hang Gliders any more, but they certainly have all the Paragliding equipment.
I asked how much was P3 rating and they said about $6,000, plus the equipment
(that only lasts 5 years at best) is about $10,000.
"You should get your paraglider inspected by a certified inspector every 2 to 3 years but it's not required, but every 5 years you should buy another paraglider and throw your old one away, or sell it to someone else. ha.." Are all these guys being subsidized? and where is the Grand Jury"

A Model for a podcast, or "Hawkcast" My H0pinion
Just watch Crowder's good speech and focus, and how he stays on point even through major noise and distractions. fast forward through "the participants". body language is key, and they "word salad" a lot, and kind of funny, but they also are cataloging everything for future videos.

With a minimum amount of equipment,
He just sits down and flips the question, and says, "Change my mind".
and is patient.
what question would you ask? and where?

HG needs to get "respectfully" aggressive towards PG,
and put it on film. It really shows their false advertising. which is illegal.
Key issues on insurance and training, and tandem PG and HG. could be brought up, to a larger audience, Plus the Motorized part of PG, and the "Ultra Light" designation.

what have we got to lose?
"Where are the Steven Crowders and Dan Gryders in HG".
we could use Denny Crain, captain Kirk in a Hang Glider, now there's a thought. ha..
Chuck Yeager flew tandem with Jack Carey in Telluride,
and he said that, it was the flying-est flying he'd ever done.
