Ground Loop Semantics

Postby Ground Slammer » Sat Aug 19, 2017 11:17 am

I wrote a nice piece to post and now I find I need 5 posts to up load my sketchbook drawings. So submitted for your entertainment are my proposals for nameing the various grond loops.

Dragging a wing tip on landing so that the glider is spun around or wingding is a DINGER

Dragging a wing tip so the glider spins around and an audible metalic tone is heard is a RINGadinger

Dragging a wing tip so the glider spins around and an audible moan is produced by the onlookers is a HUMdinger

Dragging a wing tip so the glider spins around, produces an audible metalic sound and dents the tubing is a RingaDINGdinger

And dragging a tip so the glider spins around striking a Woofo-knocking the Woofo to the ground -the force of which lifts the wing tip before the pilots feet touch ground, and then the pilot lands with bolth feet on the Woofo, and simulatniously holds bolth tips off the ground, as well as the nose plate and controll bar for 3 seconds is-- an amazing display of piloting skill and finess that produced a last second save to snach victory from the jaws of defeat in the spot landing competition.

That's 5, don't crisize what spam did you post to get 5?

PS. Right now Joe is beginnig to suspect what it is that Chuck and I share in common. (spell checker not working)

You forgot my favorite - flying thorough a clothes line of soggy towels while catching a tip on a supporting pole resulting in a loud "ding" followed by a sharp turn and a twisting of some of the aforementioned towels.

You guessed it - the wing-a-ding-wringer.   ;)

I'm glad you figured out the 5 post thing ... and made the best of it.
