Here is the link to this morning's article in the Daily Pilot, about yesterday's 40th anniversary gathering near the flying site. Not mentioned is that we also went onto a portion of the actual hill, on the cemetery grounds.

This is the local newspaper of the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area and is owned by the LA Times. It also contains links to the Times article of May 24, 1971.

The model shown is not a replica, as is stated in the Daily Pilot article. It is actually my test/prototype which I built in the summer of 1971. I started construction of the full size glider on November 5, 1971.

For those who don't know, the Colver Skysail burned in the fire that destroyed the San Diego Aerospace Museum.
