Colorado Passes Landmark Law Against Qualified Immunity, Creates New Way To Protect Civil Rights

I’m suspicious that even though Colorado may now be on the fast track
removing some of the hoops at the State Court level that if an appeal
goes to the federal court Qualified Immunity will again be the
determining factor. In other words your claim will be dismissed much sooner
than it was before the Colorado law was signed.
We deserve better training for our police officers.

4th District Court of Appeals wrote:This has to stop. To award qualified immunity at the summary judgment stage in this case would signal absolute immunity for fear-based use of deadly force, which we cannot accept. The district court’s grant of summary judgment on qualified immunity grounds is reversed, and the dismissal of that claim is hereby vacated.

On May 27th, 2020, after watching the George Floyd video, I posted this:
Today, April 20th, 2021, a jury confirmed my statement from May 27th nearly a year ago.
But despite all of the accusations and unrest, there has been no proof of racism in this case.
